GPDNet’s ‘National Dress’ Exhibition Opens in The State Institute for Culture, Bulgaria

The State Institute for Culture at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria opened doors of the touring international photography exhibition “National Dress: Source of Pride and Heritage,” organized by the Global Public Diplomacy Network (GPDNet).

The official vernissage was inaugurated by Ms. Maryam Al Saad, Secretary General of the Global Public Diplomacy Network and Mrs. Snezhana Yoveva-Dimitrova, Director of State Institute for Culture of Bulgaria.
“Celebrating the national apparel is one of the most prominent ways of showing appreciation for what makes each nation unique”, noted Secretary General.
The event was honored by the presence of H.E. Nevyana Miteva, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, H.E. Fahad Ibrahim Ali Al-Mushiri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Bulgaria , and other high rank officials.
The premiere inauguration of the exhibition took place at the 9th General Assembly of GPDNet in Doha, Qatar, in May 2024, the exhibition is now embarking on an international tour, with Bulgaria as its first destination.
This remarkable showcase highlights the beauty and cultural significance of traditional costumes from 17 member countries of the GPDNet, in which the state Institute for Culture is a member since 2021.
The Exhibition will be open to visitors until January 12, 2025.
