She graduated the Department of Library and Information Science and the Department of Law of State University of Moldova, and then followed the master studies on historical and cultural heritage tourism at State Pedagogical University of Moldova “Ion Creanga”.

Professional Career
She started her professional activity in 1989 at the National Library of the Republic of Moldova. In 2015, she was appointed as General Director of the National Library of the Republic of Moldova. As a manager, she insured the continuation of the projects and programs carried out by the institution; she was actively involved in new initiatives, which are in line with the main mission of the institution – collecting and valorizing the intellectual heritage, through the organization, processing, exploitation, preservation and promoting the national documentary heritage.
As a coordinator and participant, she carried out a series of projects such as:
- “Moldavica National Digital Library”, (2016-2023);
- “Improvement of the digitization equipment of the National Library of the Republic of Moldova and the creation of the National Digitization Center”, supported by the Government of Japan through the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation (JICA), (2019-2022);
- “Improving the institutional capacity of the National Library of the Republic of Moldova, including the services offered to the public”, implemented with the support of Romanian Agency for International Development (RoAid), Romania, (2023);
- “Media Education”, supported by International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) Europe, (2020-2021);
- “Museums, Libraries and the Sustainable Development Goals: locally set common approaches”, realized in partnership with the UNESCO Commission of the Republic of Latvia (2023);
- “Librarians promoting local democracy, development and resilience”, implemented in partnership with the Latvian Platform for Development Coperation, (LAPAS), Republic of Latvia (2022).
She coordinated:
- summer school “Library as a community cultural space” within the project “EU4Dialogue: improving practices through education and culture”, realized in partnership with the National Library of the Republic of Latvia (2023);
- international project consisting in organization of the international conference “Social resilience and strong professional networks as preconditions for peace”, with the financial support of the Foundation Conference of European National Librarians (CENL) with partners from Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, in terms of social resilience during the times of crisis, (2023);
- project “Increasing access to safe, protective and quality formal and non-formal learning opportunities for Ukrainian children, temporarily displaced on the territory of the Republic of Moldova and children from the host communities through child-friendly learning centers, ludoteca and ludobus”, implemented by the Association „Amici dei Bambini”, Moldova branch office in collaboration with the Association of Librarians of the Republic of Moldova, under the partnership of UNICEF, Plan International, „Amici dei Bambini”, Moldova and with the support of Education Cannot Wait (ECW), (2023);
- project “Libraries bring change to the community during the refugee crisis”, implemented by the Women’s Law Center (WLC) in partnership with the Association of Librarians of the Republic of Moldova, with the financial support of the International Rescue Committee (IRC), (2023).
In the same time, she coordinates the institution within the EUROPEANA project – a web portal created by the European Union containing digitized cultural heritage of more than 3000 institutions across Europe; participates annually at the general meeting of the Foundation Conference of European National Librarians (CENL).
She supports various activities in order to strengthen the role of culture and civilization, international, national and local values.
In order to effectively achieve the mission and functioning of the institution she initiated and signed bilateral collaboration agreements with the national libraries of Romania, Poland, Ukraine, Turkey, Qatar, Russia, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and others.
She ensures and develops collaborative relationships with the diplomatic missions, accredited in Chisinau, which have boosted a series of projects of great importance both for the institution and for the partners.
She is a founding member of the Public Association “The League of Librarians from the Republic of Moldova “Alexe Rau” (2010), a member of the Board of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova (2015-2017), a member of the National Council on Library and Information Science (2015-present), President of the Association of Librarians from the Republic of Moldova (2019- present).
