Katara presents Turkey’s treasures in Building 47

The Cultural Village Foundation Katara hosted, Oct. 17th, 2023, in Building 47, the “Treasures of Turkey” exhibition, which was organized by Yunus Emre Exhibition in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Qatar on the centenary of the Republic of Turkey.

The exhibition was opened by Deputy General Manager of Operations and Director of

Human Resources Department at Katara Mr. Saif Saad Al-Dosari, in the presence of HE

Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Qatar Mustafa Göksu and GPDNet Secretary General Maryam Al Saad.

The event was also attended by Mr. Tansil Akut, Director General of the Turkish Cultural Center Doha – Yunus Emre Institute, and Ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions, media professionals.

The exhibition included 40 photographic paintings displaying various landmarks from all over Turkey, as Turkey is portrayed by its unique geography introduced by the photographer in a distinctive way that highlighted its beauty.

In his speech, Mr. Tansil Akut, Director General of the Turkish Cultural Center Doha – Yunus Emre Institute, welcomed the attendees, noting that the exhibition is one of the cultural and artistic activities organized by the Yunus Emre Center with the objective to strength relations with the friends of Turkey around the world.

He explained that the photos document the memory of the place throughout Turkey and each picture contains a different story that introduces us to Turkey better, and he expressed thanks the Turkish Embassy in Doha and Katara Cultural Village, as well as photographer Ilker Cyhat Katak for these pictures, which are like treasures.
