SMARTiCITY / jumptosmart.ro is a private initiative. The organization was founded in 2016, in order to promote the concept of a smart city in Romania. Looking across borders, we have realized that Romania is not yet at the level where it can enjoy a smart city and its characteristics, but our efforts are aimed at reaching that point. “Building a better future together”, we have been dedicated to development since 2016, promoting the most efficient solutions in the transition to smart cities, to a digital future, to a world wrapped in art and culture. We promote not only the”smart” city, but “the creative” city as well. We support and share the concept of smart city, through conferences and other events, but also through pieces of training, in education, culture, digitalization, transport, mobility, energy, health, technology. We are confident in Romania’s potential, and we know that we can bring a sustainable, innovative, and efficient change. We believe in reinvention, especially through art and culture, and in urban and sustainable innovation. We are deeply interested in supporting education and digitalization for a smart future for the community, and we focus on creating innovative solutions that aim to share knowledge and encourage cooperation. Through events such as the “ECO Car March” aimed at better-informing citizens about the benefits of zero-carbon cars and encouraging them to purchase such cars in the future; The “From CITY to SMART CITY”, „ Jump To Smart 1.0” conferences, which outlined solutions for the transition to a smart cities & communities, ; “Rethinking Education”, where we put Romanian education face to face with the economic trends of the future and the challenges of the digital revolution; Along with events about fake news, digitization, combating and preventing pollution, we contribute efficiently to rewriting a society in which we can, want and deserve to live. In our last conference, “From city to smart city” we discussed the reinvention of cities through culture and art, urban regeneration. Many of the topics discussed in the events show that art and culture can be engines for the development of cities and communities. In this sense, we plead for a much stronger collaboration between public institutions-schools-private environmentNGOs, but also a collaboration between countries. And in the next period we are preparing some events through which we want to bring culture in the light , even in these times, marked by COVID-19 and isolation( Mask on your face, Music in your soul) In the events we organize, we bring together people who pour their expertise, from ambassadors, political and economic representatives. Over time, we have had the honor of collaborating with both state and private institutions, from the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests, to private partners in all industrial, economic and social spheres. We are continuously dedicated to creating an environment conducive to development. Events such as the march of eco cars, the Conference From city to Smart City, Romania of smart cities, Rethinking Education, along with events aimed at fake news, digitization, combating and preventing pollution and digitization, contribute efficiently to rewriting a society where we can all, we want and we deserve to live. There are no limits when it comes to the evolution of this country, as a result we rely on the formation of an organizational culture. We support innovation in all sectors and pillars in this country. We are deeply interested in supporting education, innovation, digitalization for a smart future for the community. We focus on creating innovative solutions that aim to share knowledge and encourage cooperation. Among the established objectives we also mention the increase of the awareness of the role of culture in current issues. We intend to monitor the most effective solutions taken by local authorities for the benefit of citizens and to encourage best practices and recognition of progress in the development of smart cities.

Building a better future together, we have dedicated ourselves over the years to the development and beneficial evolution of society. Jumptosmart promotes the most efficient solutions in the transition to smart cities, to an eco-future, to digitization. The SMARTiCITY / jumptosmart.ro organization was founded in 2016, in order to promote the concept of a smart city in Romania. Vision
We are convinced that Romania can move towards a smart future, and our goal is to speed up the steps towards this development. We want to transform the concept of smart city from an ideal into a reality. We focus on digitalization, on the efficiency of transport, on an educational system according to the western model, on the transition from the present to a green future. We are considering reducing CO2 emissions, implementing digitalization methods and strategies that cover all categories of social life, improving the education system by implementing programs in line with European norms.
Mission
Our mission is to bridge the gap between the current situation at the current level and a smart, green and development-friendly future. We want to outline a plan that meets the living standards of well-developed countries. Our goal is not just speeches, but to encourage practices necessary for change. We are confident in Romania’s potential, we know that we can bring sustainable, innovative and efficient change. In the events we organize, we bring together people who offer their expertise, from ambassadors, political and economic representatives.
With over 20 years of experience, Camelia Spătaru is a very experienced journalist and political consultant. She has a clear understanding of public relations and communication concepts, as well as public speaking techniques, but also good crisis management specialized. She has over 18 years of experience as a journalist, working in both television and news agencies. Based on her experience and reputation, Camelia Spătaru is a media trainer for important politicians in the country, but also for business people. After acting as a government spokesperson, she experienced what it means to be a “barricade” on both sides. This helps her in communication and in her PR career, knowing exactly what the expectations of both parties are. She is also vice president of the Romanian Association for Public Relations. Since 2016, when she founded the jumptosmart organization (SMARTiCITY), Camelia Spataru is an very active member in the community, sharing her knowledge to promote education, the concept of smart city, culture and arts. Her vast experience has helped to shape conferences, trainings, events, exhibitions that encourage the Romanian state to implement the characteristics of a smart city, including cultural activities for urban regeneration”.
